PostSubject: Head banging   Sat Aug 04, 2012 8:39 am

Hi all,

Louis has started to worry me recently and I want your advice. When he gets tired he's started banging his head against things repeatedly.

Like yesterday, while I was sorting a bottle for nap time, he sat on the floor leaning against the kitchen cupboards and started banging the back of his head against the cupboard, over and over.

I picked him up and held him while I finished so he wouldn't end up knocking himself out or something.

Does anyone else's LO do this? Is it just something they grow out of? Is it something to worry about?

Mention it to your HA or Doctor if it worries you or it becomes habitual or violent- but yeah, they all kind of do that Smile

Thank you for replying Heyy, it can be a little worrying though, not as much as Louis sitting there shaking his head from side to side (like when you say no). He doesn't do this in response to a question, he just does it every now and then for no apparent reason. :S

That is most likely a phase, too- it feels cool and makes their vision all wonky, so they do it for giggles lol- None of this behavior in relative moderation is worry some- if he does it CONSTANTLY, of course call someone, or if he doesn't grow out of it- but the bottom line is, toddlers are weird! lol Laughing

They really are. Louis was giggling like a mad man when DF was exaggeratedly sniffing his hair.
