Chunky ball point paint pen

I was watching one of the programmes Louis likes this morning and they were showing how a ball point pen works. One of the demonstrations made me want to post it straight on here.

It's a Chunky ball point paint pen! Simple enough to make and it lets kids paint without the mess of water cups, paint pots and brushes.

You get an empty roll-on deodorant bottle, pop out the ball, fill with slightly watered down poster paint, put the ball back in and voilà!

Use it like you would a pen and it's a good size for less dexterous hands.

It would take a while to build up a decent amount of roll-on's for a good selection of colours but, having seen the results on the programme, it's well worth it and kids can use them at any age.

That's so cool! How do you pop out the ball to fill them?

It should pop out fairly easily with a blunt knife. Try to do this without damaging the neck of the bottle.

And then getting the ball back in, it should just push back in.
